Ahoj Inigo, máš nějakého žáka, kterému by jsi chtěl předat své zkušenosti?
Sometimes nobody, sometimes somebody and sometimes everybody.
Co tě v poslední době překvapilo na techno scéně?
Some of the fotky that I've seen on Czech and Slovak websites.
Podporuješ nějakým způsobem začínající DJs?
Not directly. I play and make records. I talk about some of my reasons and I hope many people can learn from that.
Vidíš nějaký rozdíl mezi českou a anglickou scénou?
Of course there is a difference, not only in the scene but history, culture and many things. That is why the techno scene has developed in a different way. As far as I feel, there is hardly any techno scene in the UK at the moment and it's hard to compare two scenes other than at the same time as my perception will have changed also.
Jakou máš oblíbenou kapelu?
Outside of techno? Depeche Mode and The Cure and were a very big part of my history but it's not possible to say that there's any favourite or even ten or twenty favourites. I've recently added to my website a list of some of the music that's meant a lot to me in the past. I've also always been most interested in the less mainstream side of music and probably even more so at the moment and so I don't particularly have a favourite band (or I might not even know the name of it) but I do know when I hear something that I am interested in.
Máš raději klubovky nebo velké party?
I prefer nearly every time a smaller club to some large party. The atmosphere is so much better for me in a smaller place and it is much easier to connect between the people, the DJ and the music. I think the psychology of people at a smaller club compared with a very big party is different.
Uvažuješ o hraní live, nebo už jsi někdy live hrál?
I played live many years ago when I started to release records. It was a very different experience from DJing and also a very different experience to making music in the studio. I realised that it can be difficult to create a good concept without compromising what I was or wanted to be producing in that environment. However, I am thinking about it again, especially with the ability to use and control software to do things that were not possible five or ten years ago, so we will see what happens in the next year or two.
Co posloucháš za muziku, když relaxuješ?
I listen to many things, generally of electronic nature but it can depend on my mood, situation, location and many things as to what type. Relaxation can mean many things also, it can be to switch off or it can be to close eyes and block out the place where you are for example. If I am waiting in airport or on a train maybe I will listen to some material I made in the studio or often before sleeping I might listen to something like Arovane, Aphex Twin, Mum, etc. Sometimes silence is the most relaxing sound.
Co si myslíš o technologii final scratch?
I don't have any experience of using Final Scratch yet but I have seen it used a few times and I really don't think anyone is using it to it's full potential. I think it's common that people do not fully understand the technical potential of something like this and unfortunately rely more on it's novelty value or marketing potential. To me it should be used as an alternative way to play and manipulate sound and not simply to replace a large box of records. It should be a way of introducing something new and more interesting. It's early days though and I think that it will develop in an interesting way. I think Final Scratch is a valuable stepping-stone.

Studovaný zvukový inženýr, letos jedenatřicetiletý Inigo Kennedy, vydávající též pod pseudonymy Tomito Satori či Reducer, je pionýrem ostrovní techno scény. Počátky jeho tvorby se datují na přelom osmdesátých a devadesátých let do hip-hopu. Skutečnou kariéru techno producenta startuje zřejmě zařazením svých tracků do playlistu John Peel´s show na londýnském radiu BBC Radio 1. Roku 1996 Inigo vydává první EP krátce po zisku Fosters Ice Breaker Techno Awards na rádiu Kiss FM v Manchesteru. Za Kennedovou popularitou v zemích Východní Evropy stojí především jeho přítel Umek, se kterým se setkal díky Regisovu labelu Zet (sesterskému vydavatelství legendárního Downwards). Ke konci devadesátých let byl Inigo Kennedy přispivatelem mnoha dalších labelů jako Molecular Marca Lenziho, Missile Tima Taylora či Potential Bena Longa. Jeho hlavní producentský směr je už 3. rokem ale namířen k vlastnímu vydavatelství Asymmetric. Celosvětovou popularitu a DJský um dokazuje seznam zemí, kde vystupoval (nechybí např. Jižní Afrika, USA, Singapur, Australie nebo Izrael) a téměř stovka vydaných skladeb. Spoustu dalších informací lze o Inigu Kennedym získat na jeho webu
