MORE HANKY PANKY

Originating from the east midlands town of Leicester in England,this year will see babble will celebrate 10 years of making parties and bringing the Deep House sound to the hills, fields, clubs and warehouses of the UK.

Much in the vein of other midlands soundsystems, notably DiY, Smokescreen and Quadrant, thier music is typical of the sound of deep, funky, chunky house with a hefty slice of soul thrown in for good measure.

Over the years, Babble has spawned a number of sucessful recording projects, notably Damien who was a member of Funky  Transport with releases on 20:20 vision and US label Alluv and also the now L.A. based Andrew Macari with his label Filter Flow as well as releases on Nordic Trax to name a few.

DJ Mono (Colin) has been playing for 6 years as part of Babble collective and has pleayed alongside Inland Knights,David Duriez and Deep Cartel.

Damien Bailey has played for ten years and has had tracks released as part of Funky Transport.This Summer he had tracks released on Brique Rouge with releases on Chameleon records on the way soon.

Dave Brooks

Another of the East Midland deep house massive,Dave Brooks hails from Derby and manages to hold down a full time job as well as playing almost every night somewhere in Derby's lively club and bar scene.

As a part of the highly regarded Mantis Recordings crew Dave is often to be found playing alongside his brother, Andrew Brooks aka Brooks, and is in very high demand playing from deep house to r and b and hip hop.

Quite often to be found clutching a gin and tonic whilst playing lounge and down tempo, he is a highly sought after versatile dj who loves to play anything with soul,vocal deep house tracks a particular favourite.
