The leading audio-visual arts festival is celebrating it's 5th Birthday: Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms 2009 – presented by Electronic Beats.
It's been 5 years since the Urban Art Forms team first transformed the festival area of Wiesen into a giant and unique landscape of electronic music and visual-art for the “Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms Festival – presented by Electronic Beats“. In the last few years over 600 artists turned the rural Wiesen into the Mecca of festivals. 2008 was the first time the Wiesen festival area had to be expanded for the “Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms Festival – presented by Electronic Beats“, so it could provide the ideal space for a new fourth stage, adding the new Psytrance-stage to the veterans of the Main-, Drum'n'Bass- and Afterparty-stage.
2009 will be all about celebrating 5 years of “Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms Festival – presented by Electronic Beats“, this will strongly influence our bookings and design of the whole festival. A fusion of 5 years of festival history, the most popular artist and the hottest newcomers. Over 130 Djs, live-acts and visual artists will be rotating around the clock for 3 days, 72 hours respectively 4320 minutes, to bring you an almost non-stop party! A record crowd of 30,000 rocked Wiesen in 2008, but this year it'll be even bigger.
Wiesens reinforced festival area and the unique tent-structure guarantee a weatherproof festival experience, providing shelter from the sun and rain, without losing the open air charm.In addition Wiesen also probably offers the most luxurious camping grounds and sanitary facilities in Austria, or even Europe.
Now for the 5th time the Eye-Con team will provide a unique lighting concept, with the goal to set the bar even higher and outclass the elaborate installations of 2008. There's probably no other band on this planet who has been cited by so many other artists as a source of inspiration. No one else has been sampled more often and been the topic of myths and gossip then the real pioneers of electronic music: KRAFTWERK!
Their first hit single in 1974 (!!!), a shortened version of the album title song “Autobahn”, achieved both critical and commercial success in the USA and many other countries. Their performance with synthesizers instead of instruments was a real jaw dropper. In their now over 35 years of history Kraftwerk claimed numerous Awards from all over the world. Their last live album “Minimum Maximum” got nominated for the 48th Grammy Awards.

Just like in the last years the VJ line up for the ‘Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms Festival – presented by Electronic Beats’ will be handpicked by the Eye|Con association. The team from Eye|Con created a unique concept to fulfill all the needs of an audiovisual electronic dance music festival. Beside the creation of a special functional stage, they'll also light up the whole festival area. The ‘Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms Festival – presented by Electronic Beats’ is the only festival dedicating 50% of its attention towards visual artists. We guarantee an unprecedented technical sophistication and all kinds of extravagant equipment. This focus and the tireless effort of our VJs grants the festival guests a unique experience.
One thing's for sure: the ‘Eristoff Tracks Urban Art Forms Festival – presented by Electronic Beats’ will be ,as always, on the cutting edge of visual arts in 2009.
